The weather is really cold right now. Plus, these are really busy days, between my job and some errands and other events I have to attend before Christmas.
For all these reasons, when it comes to getting dressed in the morning I often choose a total black outfit – and then simply throw on something in another color, like this grey coat for example (other times it’s just a colorful accessory). This makes me feel less “stuffed” and allows me to maintain a quite sleek silhouette even with my warmest and most layered outfit.
And because I need absolutely to avoid to get sick before Christmas, I often opt for a turtleneck sweater that protects my throat, my weak point during the cold season.

This one is made of warm Merino wool and is by Dolce & Gabbana. I bought it years ago, but it’s still in perfect conditions and I’m wearing it so often every winter. Anyway, you can easily find a similar, high quality one in the stores. For me, it’s an absolute must-have for every wardorbe and, chosen in black, it’s also a cool, contemporary piece.

To ad an edgy touch to my otherwise minimalistic outfit, I chose this slim pants in black faux leather instead of my usual black jeans.
