The Black Jumpsuit, a Key Piece for Summer

A black jumpsuit is one of those garments that I obviously knew existed, but that I personally “discovered” only very late. I regret it a little now, because I find jumpsuits, especially black ones, really very versatile. And having a versatile and multi-use garment in your wardrobe is always a great advantage: with a single garment, in fact, you can create so many outfits, adapting them to the season and especially to the occasion.

Since I discovered the versatility of a black jumpsuit years ago, I’ve collected three of them. Two of them are definitely more for the evening and also a little bit sexy, while the one you see in the picture is wide cut, airy and fresh. This makes it definitely suitable for the day and (despite being black and contravenes the rules of dressing for the heat), also very lightweight! Moreover, I think black jumpsuits are simply a fantastic garment for the perfect wardrobe of women over 40: feminine, but not too revealing or over the top.

To give the outfit a daytime touch and a bit ‘cheerful, I combined the suit with this pair of red sandals that I bought on Amazon last year.

Small (and not so minimalist) confession: I discovered these super low-cost sandals by buying a black pair a few years ago, and since then I’ve been rebuying the same sandals in different colors more than once! They have an excellent value for money, resist very well to multiple uses and cost very little. Moreover, they are comfortable and very soft!
