How to wear red in winter? And, above all, how much red should you wear?
By now you know: I’m not a big fan of very colorful outfits, even if I sometimes feel like adding more color to my looks. That’s why I like to experiment with little pops of color and create different color “capsules”, made of accessories and even garments of the same color that can be used together and comfortably combined with different basic or neutral colors.
Some time ago I wrote this post on how to match red in our outfits . Looking at the many photos of the post, one of the combinations that attracts me the most is the one with winter white, ivory, cream, but also with summer white-white.
That’s why in today’s look I tried to match red with winter white, a color I often wear during the colder months of the year.
For me, the best effect is achieved by leaving ample room for a neutral shade – in this case, winter white – and limiting red to a few touches: the red Gucci Marmont, a pair of red earrings, the bracelet, but also red enamel (and, if you like it and it suits you, try a lipstick of the same red: the effect is amazing!).
To break the white/red alternation, I added a slightly different element, represented by the snake print ankle boots.
