Summer is just over and I still haven’t completely changed out my wardrobe. Also because, since I optimized my wardrobe according to my needs and my style, my wardrobe transition has become a rather simple matter, and even a gradual one. Usually, I start moving some things I don’t use anymore from my “current” wardrobe as early as the end of September, to make room for some brilliant pieces for the quite long transition period to autumn – and also for some new purchases, of course!
I’ve also talked about the way I deal with changing wardrobes in a cheerful and fashionable way in this video (in Italian, sorry!), , by the way. If you speak Italian, I certainly invite you to watch it and, if you want, to subscribe to the Youtube channel of No Time for Style, where you can also find other videos and useful resources.
FIRST PURCHASES: A PAIR OF 4 SEASONS BEIGE PANTS……
In any case, my personal autumn-winter 2019 2020 fashion season started with a few small low-cost purchases: although I tend to favour quality and long-lasting purchases, I don’t think that long-lasting things can only be found at the top end of the range and at high prices. Have a look at the low-cost chains, especially if, like H&M, they also have conscious collections. It’s always worth it. Often, in fact, chains are the most “reactive” to new fashion trends. And, looking at the details, it is certainly possible to find some “hidden gems” or some good quality basic pieces for autumn-winter 2019 2020 fashion!
This year I was lucky at H&M, especially with trousers: I bought these wool-white / beige trousers (the color always depends on the point of view) that had been missing from my wardrobe for years. They are a viscose and synthetic blend, but really well finished, and look rather luxurious, despite the really low price. Moreover, the type of fabric makes them an ideal choice to be used at least 9 months a year!
In this outfit I combined them with contrasting black garments and accessories. With the exception of the shoes, a pair of snake print pumps, a combination of colors that I love. Also because, for me, snake print è is a sort of neutral, but with an extra gear. Ideal, among other things, to be combined with both bold colors and neutral shades, such as that of these beige trousers.
Beige and black trousers and jacket, with the only snake print touch of my pumps…
…and a pair of eye-catching rose gold crystal earrings
