Best Swimsuits 2022: Summer Trends and Style Tips

In this article we will talk about the best swimsuits 2022 and how to choose the best styles to always look your best at the pool or during your next beach vacation.

The very first tip may seem obvious: choose the one that looks best on you.

But read on because I will be much more detailed, is to choose it first of all according to your body shape.

Whatever the current swimsuit fashion is, the key thing is that the swimsuit we choose to wear fits us well.

To best choose it in a perfect way that suits our physicality, there are of course several secrets.

One is to examine our physical structure and especially our proportions with a tape measure in hand and to decide which body type – for example, pear-shaped, hourglass etc. – we fall into and then, based on these criteria, in choosing the swimsuit that suits us best.

But there are two tricks that I would like to give you right now that are even more practical and quick to choose the most enhancing swimsuit.

Enhance the thinnest and most delicate spots.

The first one is to make sure that the swimsuit or bikini we choose best emphasizes the slimmer parts of our body.

We are women, so we have curves. We all have slimmer spots than others.

There are those who are graced with an ultra-thin waist and those who have feminine but not too heavy hips that they would like to enhance.

The trick is to choose a model that, with its ties and fastenings – manages to emphasize the slimmest points of our body.

So if, for example, you have a very slim waistline, you could try a swimsuit that is very slimming or a bikini with a high waist, which enhances precisely this part of your body.

Also consider your vertical proportions

The other tip to choose a bikini or even a one-piece swimsuit that is perfect for your physique is to consider also your vertical proportions.

Therefore, if you have long legs, maybe you don't need to highlight them further with a very high-waist bikini bottom, because otherwise you are going to disproportionate the upper body.

In that case you will look great in one of those ultra-classic triangle bikinis.

If you have a short torso, you can opt for a one-piece with an elongated V-neckline or for a low-waist bikini bottom that goes to re-proportion the whole figure.

Sometimes it is better not to hide too much

A third piece of advice is that sometimes it is better not to hide too much, but to leave some small imperfections uncovered.

Especially with us over 40 over 50 women, covering too much in fact risks making us look older at the beach.

Of course, those somewhat retro 50s swimsuits are beautiful. And, if you like the genre, go ahead and wear them.

Always remember, though, that when that veil of tan arrives-which can also be bestowed by a good self-tanner-all imperfections will practically disappear.

It's kind of like running a big eraser over our small imperfections.

In short, in summer we are all more beautiful, so let's forget about the little flaws that no one notices and enjoy the beauty of this fantastic season!

But let us now come to the 2022 swimwear trends.

The one-piece swimsuit

One trend that reconfirms itself very strongly from previous seasons is the one-piece swimsuit. There are beautiful ones and now, in my opinion, they no longer have that aging effect that they used to have.

Having at least one in one's capsule can be really very convenient, not least because there will be occasions where a one-piece swimsuit can really come in handy.

But, chosen well, it is also super chic and super stylish. I got this one in green this year. It is excellent value for money and has become a real bestseller, so much so that it is almost sold out in some colors. You can find it here.

The sports swimsuit

Another strong trend among or swimsuits 2022 concerns sporty- chic bikinis and one-pieces, featuring elements stolen from the world of sports and swimming.

Great especially if you have an athletic and lean physique, even for the beach!

Cut-out style

Another strong and fresh trend this season are the so-called cut-out swimsuits, which take up a more generalized trend this season: that of strategic cuts that we also find in clothing.

The only caution, choose these costumes in a bold color – ideally in black – avoiding patterns and soft colors, because they do not bring out the geometric play of these patterns.

Romantic swimsuits and bikinis

Another beautiful trend this year is the romantic swimsuit, often seen in Vichy checks.

We see beautiful ones, with ruffles and delicate floral designs that can also serve, among other things, to correct the figure a little bit.

If, for example, you dream of a more voluminous bust, you can play with a top decorated with ruffles that adds at least one bra size.
