Hello everyone, today I am answering the question of Claudia, a reader who wrote to me to get tips and product recommendations for a complete beauty routine over 40.
I thought I would break this post in two; today I would therefore like to talk in particular about the morning beauty routine over 40.
As always, I would like to point out that I am not an expert in cosmetics; however, I consider myself a well-informed user, as I am very curious, read a lot of material on the subject of cosmetics, and then above all experiment and test a lot of products on myself.
In addition, every skin is different by nature, although more mature skin often has at least some recurring problems for every woman that can be addressed with certain high quality and active ingredients.
I am also convinced that in the world of beauty products – even more so than in fashion – a lot of the information you can find online or elsewhere is rather advertising and marketing and that the price of many products often reflects huge investments in marketing rather than in research and good active ingredients.
So in this post I basically go shopping for you, so to speak, and would like to suggest you a few products that, together, make up a complete morning skincare routine over 40 – for a total price of less than 50 euros/55 dollars.
In addition, all products can be purchased online – a prerequisite during this period of quarantine and self-isolation. In any case, I almost always buy my cosmetics online, always from the retailers I mention in this post, for a good reason: they have a very large sales volume, and therefore the cosmetics are always very fresh. Also, their prices are often the best you can find on the market.
So here are my favorite products for my mature skin: some I use all the time, some I use again and again, alternating them with other skincare products. But without exception all of them have proven to be absolutely effective for me and my 53-year-old skin.

# SKIN CLEANSING
Cleansing my skin in the morning is always a fundamental step for me: this first kick of freshness in the early morning not only serves to wash away the last traces of sleep, but also to give the face some freshness and a nice “glow”. It is this effect of youthful radiance that makes us look a few years younger, even if we have hardly slept and hardly wear any make-up!!
So here is my winning pair, which I still use for evening cleansing, together with a good eye make-up remover.

When I discovered this product, I immediately fell in love with it. So much so that despite its relatively low SPF 25, I even used it as a sunscreen during a trip to the Maldives. Result: the best skin ever after a holiday in the sun! I have reviewed it thoroughly in this post.
