Today we’re talking about five fall winter shoes to have in our closet to create maximum versatility in our outfits.
Shoes are one of my absolute favorite topics-and I know for a fact that it’s one of yours, too!
Indeed, shoes, more than any other accessory in our wardrobe, have the power to revolutionize our outfits, taking them from more sporty and casual to elegant and more formal, from classic to trendy, and so on.
But there’s more: a nice pair of shoes is always good even if we have gained weight or if, on the contrary, we have lost weight or in all cases when we don’t see ourselves at our best.
1 – SNEAKERS
The first shoe model that is in my opinion indispensable this season is a nice pair of sneakers.
This year, by the way, sneakers are all the rage – especially (once again) the classic white sneakers with its quite important. They really are a super versatile model that goes with everything.

Alongside white sneakers, among the fall-winter shoes we find vaguely retro models, perhaps nude or leather-colored, that also have the power to slim the leg.
And then of course the colorful, sports-inspired ones.
The model I use by far the most is by Steve Madden. If you follow me on Instagram, you have undoubtedly already seen them in a lot of my outfits.
I often get requests in private for where to find them. You can find them here.
SOME CHIC AND TRENDY STYLES:
They are really comfortable and go well with almost everything!
By the way, I have already washed them several times in the washing machine and they always come back as good as new.
Among the designs I’m loving this season, also, are the fantastic Veja, beloved by influencers around the world.

You can also find them on Amazon at very affordable prices.
The superpower of sneakers lies in the fact that we can also pair them in contrast, perhaps with more elegant garments and outfits.

We thus create something new and also very young, which always gives that extra touch.
2 – BIKERS AND CHELSEA BOOTS AMONG TOP FALL WINTER SHOES
A second model now indispensable in the wardrobe of us women is a pair of biker boots or chelsea boots.
In recent years, alongside the classic biker-effect models, classic chelsea boots have become very popular-a smoother, sleeker, more urban version that really suits so many looks.
I have several, and depending on the kind of look I wear, I also vary them a bit.
One model I really use a lot, for its comfort and versatility, are these from Dr. Martens.
I also make a lot of use of Chelsea Boots, especially these ones that I bought in black and now I would also like them in a clear model, because they are so comfortable. By the way, they are really good value for money.
3 – ANKLE BOOTS
A third fall-winter shoe model to have in your closet, always in vogue for its practicality and elegance, is a pair of ankle boots.
Also because, in fact, they are not replaceable, especially if you are looking for a shoe model suitable for wearing with many styles of pants as well as with skirts and dresses.
I have collected many different ones over the years. Usually, I buy them in neutral colors, matching the colors of my jeans and pants for a slender effect. But I also like to use ankle boots to vary outfits a bit by choosing them in animal print versions.
The most commonly used are undoubtedly these Sam Edelman snakeprint booties. They are so amazing, comfy and chic! I even bought them in black because they are a great staple.

Another ankle boot model that I find indispensable is the sock boot, which wraps the ankle well. It is not only comfortable, but also allows you to enhance the thin ankle, avoiding the midsection effect with some models of pants, but also with midi and maxi skirts and dresses.
4 – PUMPS
A fourth category essential fall winter shoes this year is a nice pair of pumps.
I own 7-8 pairs, very different from each other.
If you want to invest in this pattern, I definitely recommend starting with simple, basic patterns and colors. Ideally, a pair of nude pumps, which slims the leg and goes with everything, and a classic black pair, suitable for so many occasions.
These are two models where it is worth betting on quality, because they will stay with you for years and years and go well with everything.
Once you have covered the two essential models, you can of course range according to your tastes.
Again, I personally love animal prints and own for example a pair of leopard print Prada, but also a snake print leather version.
A pair of decorated or distinctive pumps – like the iconic Valentino Rockstud pumps – will also help you create many interesting outfits.
But you can safely save a lot by aiming for a quality “inspired” model, such as this one.
5 – BOOTS

A final key category to have in your fall-winter wardrobe is, of course, a nice pair of tall boots.
Tall boots go with skirts and dresses. Personally, I don’t like to wear skinny jeans tucked into boots, but that’s my personal preference.
In fall and winter I use knit dresses a lot, and I find that paired with a pair of leather or suede high boots they make even more.

To create some variety, over the years I have invested in classic black smooth boots, low-heeled cuissardes and slightly more sporty soft-leg boots.
To these, this year I added a more fashionable bottle green model with a snakeprint effect.
